Open Studios 2026
The magical Mulberry Garden is opening for FIVE days in September 2026 with another great line up of artists and, with different artists on different days, you might end up returning again and again.
Entry to all events is free but donations towards the cost of materials and the upkeep of the gardens and the exhibits will be welcomed.

- Address: 225 Whitworth Road, Rodbourne Cheney, Swindon, SN25 3BX. Enter via the Dalek Gate
- Dates: 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th, 27th September 2026
- Opening Hours: 2:00pm to 7:00pm
- Disabled parking only at the venue. On street parking opposite in Whitworth Road (3 spaces) or further along Whitworth Road, outside the cemetery (five minute walk). There is also on street parking in adjacent roads. Please park legally and respect our neighbours.
- By public transport, the nearest bus stops are: Number 11 0r 12 – Larchmore Close (2 minute walk), number 15 – Northern Road, Cunningham Road (10 minute walk), number 5 – The Broadway (6 minute walk).
Facilities available:
Cafe, selling hot and cold drinks, and a selection of amazing cakes and snacks. Allergies catered for.
Toilets
Extensive gardens but with uneven paths, gravel and open ponds. Please wear sensible shoes and keep children close. We can only allow assistance dogs in harness in the garden due to the presence of livestock.

Zozo Thomas
Zozo Thomas invites visitors into a world of playful lines and flourishing imagination. Her colouring illustrations are inspired by her own Mulberry Garden, where magical plants and enchanted creatures come to life on the page.
Alongside her colouring-in creations, Zozo will be exhibiting her selection of bags and boxes made from recycled and repurposed materials.
Guests can wander the garden, pick up some colours, and add their own magic, experimenting freely with pencils, pens, and paints.
Podpadstudios at the Mulberry Garden is open in North Swindon. Come and see their creations made for Film, TV and Exhibitions, animatronic robots, droids, film bikes and dragons, plus lots more. Join them for a cuppa and a chat at their 4th year of Open Studios.
Spellbound is a dream created by Kiki, artist & baker. Everything around her inspires her for creating her cute and sometimes bit strange art. You will find lots of cats, pumpkins, maybe a bat, but most importantly the most delicious cakes for everyone no matter their food allergies. She is looking forward to see you in The Potting Shed.
Jan and Geoff are mainly inspired by nature, plants and animals.
Geoff creates sculptures in metal for both indoors and out, often using recycled materials.
Jan uses acrylics, pastels, pencils and gel pens to create pictures of ravens, horses, hares and anything else that takes her fancy!
Stuart Malaure
Stuart works in watercolours. He experiments with different scenes and often get inspiration from Youtube artists. Stuart likes the challenge of showing textures and using wet on wet, wet on damp and other techniques for watercolour painting. He has his own style which shows through his choice of subjects to paint.
Sunday 20th September and Sunday 27th September only
Artists Helen Savin and Komic have been incorporating their own haiku verses in handmade and hand-altered books. They are using themes that are personal to them individually as inspiration for the poetry, and are exploring different methods in their art practices to make the books.
Komic also painted the stunning new mural on the wall in the Mulberry Garden.
Returning to be with us for Swindon Open Studios, David has only just out as an artist again after a few years and it all feels quite new. He’s spent the last couple of months reflecting on the circle. Carving nothing but circles in fact. It’s been a really welcoming focus and good practice, coming back.
His first trio will be on display along with other pieces he’s made and he’ll be here to chat and answer questions, share his process and enjoy the event.
With a rich background in carpentry and craftsmanship, Will Jinks channels his passion into creating bespoke 3D Retro, Wood Carvings and Historical Props. His work blends vintage elements with modern creativity, crafting pieces that inspire and captivate. Each creation is a unique statement, designed to evoke emotion and transform spaces into realms of imagination.
Will and his fantabulous creations will be joining us on Friday 25th September.
