Open Studio Events

If you enjoyed our open studio events over the summer, we have more planned for 2027

The magical Mulberry Garden will be opening again in 2027 with different artists on different days, you might end up returning again and again. 

Entry to all events is free but donations towards the cost of materials and the upkeep of the gardens and the exhibits will be welcomed.

Planning your journey

  • Address: 225 Whitworth Road, Rodbourne Cheney, Swindon, SN25 3BX. Enter via the Dalek Gate
  • Dates: See below
  • Opening Hours: 2:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Disabled parking only at the venue. On street parking opposite in Whitworth Road (3 spaces) or further along Whitworth Road, outside the cemetery (five minute walk). There is also on street parking in adjacent roads. Please park legally and respect our neighbours. 
  • By public transport, the nearest bus stops are: Number 11 0r 12 – Larchmore Close (2 minute walk),  number 15 – Northern Road, Cunningham Road (10 minute walk), number 5 – The Broadway (6 minute walk). 

Facilities available:

Cafe, selling hot and cold drinks, and a selection of amazing cakes and snacks. Allergies catered for.

Toilets

Extensive gardens but with uneven paths, gravel and open ponds. Please wear sensible shoes and keep children close. We can only allow assistance dogs in harness in the garden due to the presence of livestock.

Zozo Thomas

Zozo Thomas invites visitors into a world of playful lines and flourishing imagination. Her colouring illustrations are inspired by her own Mulberry Garden, where magical plants and enchanted creatures come to life on the page.

Alongside her colouring-in creations, Zozo will be exhibiting her selection of bags and boxes made from recycled and repurposed materials. 

Zozo will be running a series of taster workshops across a variety of arts and crafts. 

Brim Full of Beautiful Things is a storage box in the shape of a hat covered in brightly coloured paper, gems, and flowers with an orange feather.

Podpadstudios

Podpadstudios was built on the creation of artistic elements for film, TV, and exhibitions. Over the years, we have developed a significant collection of our own Artistic creations which we are able to make available for hire across the UK.

Over the last 15 years we have been hired for hundreds of events and  millions people have been entertained by our handmade interactive creations. Combine this with our significant social media following, generating excitement and interest before the event and you know why our clients book us. Again and again!
